The Mets haven’t won the National League East since 2015, when they won 90 games and made their first World Series appearance in 15 years, losing in five games to the Kansas City Royals. In 2020 they finished just fourth in the division, but with the amount of talent on the roster & the humongous offseason they just had, they might just be expected to do what they did six years ago.
Notables among those optioned by the Phillies on Sunday were super utility and former top prospect Scott Kingery and left-handed pitcher Jojo Romero. Both players have been optioned to Triple A Lehigh and will not begin the season on the 26-man roster.
