We have all been enamored over the last season and a half with the defensive exploits of Philadelphia 76ers shooting guard Matisse Thybulle. Now he will be immortalized for his efforts on and off the the court. While also continuing to do a lot of good for the community.
Red Bull announced today, which happens to be Thybulle’s 24th birthday, that a mural of the 76er and Red Bull athlete has been completed on the side of Garage, a lounge in the Fishtown neighborhood of Philadelphia. The mural was painted using spray paint by local artist Gloss Black. In addition to the mural, Red Bull and the Sixers will be donating $250 for every steal the former first round pick has this season, to refurbish local basketball courts in collaboration with the Philadelphia Parks and Recreation Department. As of March 3, Thybulle’s 46 steals have already led to $11,500 in donations.
