The Favorite: Gonzaga
The Zags have been the best team in college basketball all season, and will probably be the number one overall seed in the tournament. It should come as no surprise they area the favorite to win the whole thing. They have been dominate on both ends of the floor and finally look set to make a long run in March.
Dark Horse: North Carolina
A big win over Florida State on Saturday has most likely put North Carolina back in the tournament picture, and if so they could be a potential threat in their bracket. 7’1” Freshmen Walker Kessler seems to be a force to be reckoned with.
Early Exit: Villanova
The Wildcats have multiple losses to unranked opponents. It is not out of the realm of possibility that Jay Wright and company could lay an egg in the tournament. Don’t be surprised if the former champs, play down to their competition, and don’t make it out of the round of 32.
