Blue Coats Move to 3-0 in the Bubble

With today’s win, the Delaware Blue Coats move to 3-0 in the G-League bubble. Paul Reed led the way with 31 points and 11 rebounds, adding to what has been an amazing bubble performance so far. Rayjon Tucker also had a good game, mainly in the second half, racking up 19 points, 6 assists, and 3 rebounds, along with a couple of blocks and a steal. The Coats were able to stage a second half comeback in a game where they were down by 12 at some points. Their next game will be Tuesday, February 16th, where they will take on the Greensboro Swarm.

Paul Reed says that he watched Joel Embiid take advantage of the mid-range area and says he has tried to add that to his game. When asked about his early foul trouble in the game, Reed said “I wasn’t thinking of foul trouble too much.” Clearly it didn’t affect him as his game showed he didn’t need to. Rayjon Tucker talked about how in the first half, it was hard to get focused and gain a lead without fans. He says that he tries to be the guy to bring adrenaline to the team so that they don’t need the fans to help them in close games.
