Bird’s Nest Week 12 Preview

The Philadelphia Eagles are in precarious position. Their lead in the pathetic NFC East has all but vanished, and they are in desperate need of a win. This week Philly takes the field against the Seattle Seahawks. Seattle has embarrassed Philly in their last few meetings and is probably looking forward to doing it again on Monday night. The Eagles better find some way to win or it might just be the beginning of the end of their season.

What Needs To Be Fixed.

First thing first they have to do is have better play calling. While Carson Wentz has struggled, he is not without talent. He has his strengths, and the Eagles offense needs to play to them. Number 11 is great on the run. Wentz needs to be rolled out more to alleviate some of the pressure on the offensive line. Secondly the defense needs to force turnovers. Bringing pressure and getting takeaways is the only chance this team has for success.

What We Can Expect.

We can probably expect a big helping of Russell Wilson. Wilson has been a one man wrecking crew for Seattle all season. The Seahawks also like to run the ball early and often. So it is vitally important that if the Eagles have success early stopping the run, they need to maintain it. They cannot afford to let the flood gates open late like they did in last weeks game.

The Eagles have a shot if they can come out fast and keep the game close early. Seattle’s defense has been horrible in 2020, giving up yards and points in chunks. A shoot out is what your hoping for if your an Eagles fan. Unfortunately, with the quarterback play they have been getting I don’t see them winning a back and forth contest. Seattle probably has the ball last which means Seattle wins the game.

Final Score Seahawks 34 Eagles 30
