The Bird’s Nest Week 10 Preview

The Philadelphia Eagles come into Week 10 in prime position to run away with the lackluster NFC East after the bye week. Their next test is the New York Giants, of whom they’ve already beaten once this season. A win against New York would make a division title a virtual lock and put them on an upward trajectory for the back half of the season.

What Needs To Be Fixed.

The second half of the Eagles 2020 campaign hast to be as error free as possible. Which means, Carson Wentz has to protect the football and minimize mistakes. Wentz has been a turnover machine, and it has cost his team dearly on more than one occasion. To take advantage of a bad division and finish above .500 they have to stop hurting themselves. And at the top of the list is the giveaways.

What To Expect

The first thing we can expect is for the Birds to lean on their defense. Their pass rush has been consistent all year and a real bright spot for the team. Philly is going to harass quarterback Daniel Jones early and often. The second thing to look out for, is the receiving core to take a step forward. The Eagles dynamic duo of Jalen Reagor and Travis Fulgham have an extra week to acclimate themselves with each other and their quarterback. It should pay big dividends.

This game may be as close as the last one in the beginning, but it won’t end that way. With an extra week to prepare Philadelphia should pull away from Nee York in the second half and walk away with a decisive victory. Week 10 will be the beginning of the turn around for this team.

Final Score Eagles 27 Giants 19
