The Temple Owls flew south about 10 miles to host the University of South Florida Bulls. This was a big game for both teams as Temple just started their season and South Florida had already lost 3 conference games. The loser would be at the bottom of the pile.

The game was a back and forth battle with USF taking a 21-17 lead into the half. Anthony Russo hit Jadan Blue for 2 TDs and Arnold Ebiketie added a 24 yard field goal.

The back and forth continued through the 3rd quarter and it ended with a 31-26 USF lead. Temple took the lead with an Arnold Ebiketie “Scoop and run” fumble return for a Touch down, the 2 point conversion failed. Then about 5 minutes later Anthony Russo hit Randle Jones with a 13 yd pass to increase the lead to 39-31. USF didn’t give up and scored with just over a minute left on a one yard run by Leonard Parker but the 2 point conversion failed. Temple was able to run the clock out and secure the victory.
