Over the past two weeks fans of the Philadelphia Eagles have been enamored with wide receiver Travis Fulgham. But what do really know about him. Where did he come from and what could he mean to this franchise moving forward.
Where He Started
Fulgham was born in Alexandria, Virginia where he excelled in football for Broad Run High School. His play landed him at Old Dominion where he played for five seasons after red shirting in his freshman year. Among his accomplishments in college is being named to the Conference USA all conference second team. In 2019 he was drafted to the Detroit Lions but didn’t catch on, after a brief stint with the Green Bay Packers he ended up in Philly.
What He’s Done So Far
Fulgham has made a big splash since being added to the active roster. In two weeks he has 12 catches for 209 yards and 2 touchdowns. This includes a game winner against a tough San Francisco 49ers defense in Week 4. He has been key target for quarterback Carson Wentz and delivered every time his number is called.
What To Expect Moving Forward
You can expect a lot more of Fulgham. If it’s one thing we know is once Wentz becomes comfortable with someone, he looks for them early and often. Look for the former practice squad player to get good number of targets on a weekly basis from here on out as the Eagles look to utilize their younger reviewing talent. The sky is the limit for the former Monarch.
