The University of West Chester has suspended all sports for the 2020-2021 academic year. This was confirmed late yesterday afternoon by Mike Jensen, @jensenoffcampus . The University issued a statement saying in part that the University would be following the plans set in place for the fall semester, all classes would be virtual and there would be no sports. This will continue through the end of the 2020-2021 academic year.

The mayor of West Chester has issued a state of emergency for the college town as new occurrences of the Covid 19 have been spreading. The question remains to be seen as to whether this is an isolated instance or a new norm for Colleges and Universities for this year.
