The Philadelphia Eagles are coming off a disastrous week 1 in which quarter back Carson Wentz was battered behind a patch work offensive line. The Eagles hope to have better luck this week against the Los Angeles Rams. Both Miles Sanders and Lane Johnson are set to start after missing last week due to injury.

The Eagles had a disastrous start as Sanders fumbles on the opening drive. This is the Eagles 4th turnover in two weeks. It led directly to a Rams score and Philly trailed 7-0 with less than four minutes gone in the game.
Their second drive was much more successful as they came away with a field goal to chip away at the Rams lead. However the defense continued to struggle as Los Angeles drove right down the field and scored another touchdown. And expanded the deficit to 11 points, 14-3. And thatβs how the first quarter would end.

The Rams started off the second quarter with yet another touchdown and took a massive 21-3 lead. The Eagles seemed to have no answer for the Rams offense and Jared Goff who started 13 for his first 13 passes in the game. The Eagles eventually got into the end zone on a Wentz sneak but failed to convert the 2 point conversion and trailed 21-9. Eagles scored again after a muffed punt and cut the lead down to 21-16 at half time.

The third quarter started out just as the Eagles would like it. They got a stop on defense and drove down the field on offense. Unfortunately the drive ended in an end zone interception. However, the Eagles were able to hold the Rams to a field goal on the ensuing drive and keep it a one possession game, near the end of the quarter.
Fourth Quarter

The Eagles opened the fourth quarter with a Jake Elliot field goal and brought the score back within 5 at 24-19. However, their good fortunes didnβt last long as the Rams drove the length of the field and found tight end Tyler Higbee for his third touchdown of the game as Los Angeles went up by double digits 31-19. The Eagles had a drive going but failed to convert on fourth down and could only watch helplessly as the Rams whittled down the clock. Los Angeles would score again just for good measure as the Eagles fall to 0-2.
