First Half

Much of the first half was spent with neither team really being able to get in to a rhythm. Clear shots on goal were extremely hard to come by, as the teams remained scoreless going into the 15’. Philly had a couple close calls in the 30’. But they couldn’t close the deal and put points on the board. When the dust settled at the 45’ mark the teams found themselves locked in a 0-0 tie.

Second Half

The second half started just like the first half ended. With both teams struggling to get clean scoring opportunities. The scoreboard stayed blank into the 70’, with neither team able to make Anything happen offensively.

Finally in the 73’ the Union found the back of the net and took a 1-0 lead. Anthony Fontana did the honors for Philly as he weaved through defenders for the score. However, New England answered back with a goal of their own in the 84’ to tie the game at 1. The Union would get the last laugh though. Fontana struck again in extra time and Philly was able to run out the rest of time and come away with the win.

Final Score: Union 2 Revolution 1
